Your next opportunity We have an exciting 12- month, full-time opportunity at our Gumbirra OSHC Service for an enthusiastic OSHC Team Leader to join our not for profit Out of School Hours services that meet national quality education standards. The OSHC Team Leader will play a crucial role in supporting the Cluster Director to deliver high quality OSHC services that meet the needs of children, families and the community. This includes adherence to local, state and federal government requirements and regulations. Collaborating closely with the Cluster Director, the Team Leader will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of service programs. Your day will involve Program Coordination and Planning - implement engaging activities for children in line with the OSHC Program. Coordinate daily routines and ensure a smooth transition between activities Team Management - Lead a team of educators, providing guidance, support and mentorship. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure responsibilities are clear among team members Child Supervision and Support - Monitor children's wellbeing and behaviour, intervening when necessary to ensure a safe and positive environment Compliance and Administration - Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and policies (eg, National Quality Framework) Maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports and child observations What we are looking for A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards a qualification in a relevant field (Childcare, Sport & Recreation, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Teaching, Community Services, Health) Fun, energetic leaders passionate about working with young people Ability to innovate and develop engaging program ideas Valid NSW Working with Children Check Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate Experience in Out of School Hours Care settings Strong communication skills both verbal and written Holds an LR license or willing to obtain within the first 4 weeks Available to work rotating shifts, 9 days per fortnight Desirable criteria Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) or actively working towards What’s on offer Career opportunities with support for further study and capability mapping to help you achieve your full potential 15 days personal leave per year Health and wellbeing leave 18 weeks paid maternity leave Access to fitness passport Complimentary access to Ripples Leisure Centres Commencing salary: $76,329.00 - $88,355.00 11.5% superannuation About Penrith City Council Join Penrith City Council, where we prioritize both our community and our employees.
