We are recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a delightful Year 1 class at a small, nurturing primary school located in Kensington & Chelsea, starting after October half-term.

The Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the Year 1 class teacher to provide essential support in delivering engaging lessons and assisting students with their learning. You will also support small group work and individual interventions to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Year 1 class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
* Assisting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
* Providing literacy support with a particular focus on English and phonics.
* Preparing teaching materials and creating a positive learning environment.
* Helping to manage student behaviour and providing pastoral care when needed.
* Working closely with the school’s leadership team to provide tailored support for individual students.
Candidate Requirements:
* Must be a high-achieving graduate with excellent English Literacy skills.
* Ideally, some phonics experience, although this is not essential.
* Suited for someone considering a career in teaching or educational psychology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support students from various backgrounds.
* A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
