Children's Service Manager
Location: Nottingham
£35K - £40K DOE
This is a reputable provider of 24-hour live-in care services, dedicated to supporting children and young people with diverse needs across Nottingham. They are committed to delivering compassionate, person-centered care that promotes independence and enhances the quality of life for every child in our care.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Service Manager to join our dedicated team in Nottingham. As the Children's Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of outstanding care services in compliance with OFSTED regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our children's live-in care service in Nottingham, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations and standards.
2. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of compassionate care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
3. Develop and implement individual care plans for each child, in collaboration with their families and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring their holistic needs are met.
4. Conduct regular assessments and reviews of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes for children and young people.
5. Act as a point of contact for families, local authorities, and other stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and effective communication.
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
1. Hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of best practices in children's social care.
2. Registered with OFSTED as a manager or willing to undergo registration prior to employment.
3. Proven experience in a managerial role within a residential childcare setting, with a track record of delivering high-quality care services.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence.
5. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures pertaining to children and young people.
