Purpose of the Role: Delivering outstanding customer services to all visitors to the site. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures. Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day cleaning responsibilities for the site ensuring that the cleaning specifications are adhered to.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Patrol the site providing a high visibility presence to deter potential shoplifters, prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
2. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
3. Document and report any hazards or concerns to all relevant parties in line with site guidelines.
4. Monitor and authorize entrance(s) and departure(s) of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
5. Be able to contact emergency services in cases of emergency (e.g., Fire, Unauthorised access, Injuries, Theft, Suspicious devices, Environmental disaster, Flood).
6. Respond to any first aid requirements (including potential defibrillator use) for any patients on site.
7. Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
8. Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, apprehend or evict as necessary.
9. Control room duties including access and egress for service areas and periodic CCTV patrolling of site.
10. Carry out routine cleaning tasks as delegated, including staff facilities.
11. Complete all cleaning as laid down in the specification and method statements, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.
12. Operate as part of the team, providing customers with the required image.
13. Provide a safe and clean environment for the general public and staff.
14. Report any Health & Safety hazards to your line manager.
15. Use and monitor cleaning machinery and report all maintenance requirements to your line manager.
16. Report any impending shortfalls in stock levels to the line manager.
17. Be aware of risk and compliance during day-to-day operations.
18. Be aware of the team’s role in the management of events and activities, understand team requirements and assist as appropriate.
19. Maintain positive relations with retailers and assist where appropriate.
20. Work with other teams for the benefit of the site, developing new skills where appropriate.
21. Deliver on the Centre’s standards and expectations.
22. Participate in site emergency procedures.
23. Carry out any other reasonable request of the Manager, Client, Regional Manager or Senior Management Team.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Must hold a valid SIA Licence
Desirable:
• SIA CCTV Licence
• First Aid at work
• Customer Service Training (e.g., World Host or similar course or qualification)
Experience:
• A good understanding of basic IT skills
• Attention to detail shown through articulate report writing
Desirable:
• Dual service experience within the retail or similar environment
