SEND Teaching Assistant
Pay between £ – £ per week. Dependent on experience.
Connex Education Solutions is working with the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust as their recruitment partner, seeking warm and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to provide learning support to pupils in their schools.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA), you will work closely with class teachers to assist students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, explaining concepts, facilitating engaging activities, and enabling their educational development. Other key duties include managing behaviour challenges, aiding with exam arrangements, and helping prepare useful classroom resources.
We welcome passionate Teaching Assistants of all experience levels – from those just starting out to expert assistants seeking new challenges. Full and part-time roles available.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have a patient, caring, and encouraging manner.
* Be able to quickly build rapport with students.
* Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Be confident dealing with challenging behaviour and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including Autism, SEMH, and Communication Needs.
We also encourage applications from people with experience as Health Care Assistants and Support Workers.
What you’ll do:
* Support pupils 1-1 or in small groups.
* Prepare learning materials.
* Adapt teaching support according to student needs.
