Equans is looking for an Operations and Maintenance Manager to join our team at Sullom Voe Terminal Power Station in the Shetland Islands on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the power station within compliance, providing direction to the Operations and Maintenance Teams and interpreting customer needs into plant operating strategies. There is also a need to manage the implementation of the Safe System of Work (SSoW), ensuring that the site Health, Safety and Permit to Work System compliance is maintained at all times.
What will you deliver?
1. Implement effective continual training and development for the operations and maintenance teams to ensure staff competence is achieved within the competency matrix
2. Managing the operations and maintenance team budgets to ensure effective controls are implemented with controlling cost
3. Scheduling bulk consumables and materials to ensure plant availability and performance is maximised
4. As the Operations and Maintenance Manager you will have responsibility for site operational procedures and instruction within the BMS. The role will be required to implement effective management to ensure compliance with the BMS and ISO standards
5. The role will ensure the power station availability and efficiency is maximised by effective operational planning and equipment availability
6. Working closely with the Maintenance Team to anticipate typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action
7. Also, advise the Maintenance Team on O&M planning to optimise key plant up time and capitalise on down time, and consolidate maintenance and repair tasks where possible while plant is unavailable for service
8. Ensuring the management of statutory inspections ensuring all documentation is completed and up to date
9. You will provide reports to the Management Team with effective data showing operational performance
10. Managing the teams to ensure Base Line Condition is being achieved by supporting Contract Transition Manager
11. Managing the teams to ensure effective plant right-sizing and eventual decommissioning by supporting Contract Transition Manager

Who are we looking for?
23. Degree or HND
24. NEBOSH Certificate
25. Management Qualification (DMS)
26. Management of an operational team responsible for a 24 hour production process
27. Direction of an integrated safe system of work for the workforce
28. Preparation of presentations and reports for both internal and external stakeholders
29. Involvement with an improvement strategy within an industrial environment and the ability to lead working groups that are involved with improvement programmes
30. Experience in a technical role within the oil/gas/utility environment
31. Involvement of implementing a Training Needs Analysis process and then managing the output of the same to drive performance improvement within the team
