SEN Teaching Assistant – Part-Time (Mon-Weds)
Location: Rural location near Ashford
Hours: 08.30am – 3.30pm
Contract: Part-Time (Monday to Wednesday)
Salary: From £95 + VAT per day
Dates: ASAP until July 2025, with potential to extend
Are you passionate about supporting young learners with additional needs? We are seeking a committed and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and award-accredited SEN school, working with Primary-aged students with SEMH, ASD, and communication needs. With a large, rural landscaped school site that offers free parking and a welcoming team environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference – and could lead to a longer-term role.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:
Have experience supporting children with SEMH, ASD, or language and communication needs
Be confident working 1:1, small group settings or supporting the whole classroom
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach
Be flexible, patient and proactive in adapting to students’ needs
Enjoy working closely within a collaborative and supportive school team
SEN Teaching Assistant requirements:
Previous experience in a similar SEN setting is essential
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Minimum C-grade (or equivalent) Maths & English GCSE or minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
Excellent communication skills and a calm, positive attitude
