Job Overview
Chobham Parish Council is seeking a part-time Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer who manages its administration, personnel, and finances. The position is 21 hours per week and is based at the Parish Council Office located at the Recreation Ground, Chobham.
Prior Parish Clerk experience is preferable but not a necessity. Ideally, the candidate should hold the CILCA qualification or be willing to obtain it within 2 years of appointment. Attendance is required at around 18 evening meetings per year. The successful candidate will have good verbal and written skills, be computer literate, and have the ability to work on their own initiative.
The role requires strong financial skills including experience of budgeting, book-keeping, and year-end audit. Experience of using an accounting software package is desirable. The Clerk manages 3 members of staff: the Parish Administrator, the Planning Co-Ordinator, and the Caretaker.

Salary: £15.21 per hour to £18.58 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
