An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join the Women's, Children and HIV Service Care Group administration team and support the delivery of medical staffing services in the specialties of Obstetrics & Gynaecology .
Applicants should have the ability to think calmly and logically under pressure and have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards with attention to detail at all times. You will be quick to learn, be able to work as part of a team and also possess the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative.
Working as part of the Care Group’s medical staffing team, you will help support the delivery of rotas and staffing to an agreed level and provide support to the Specialty and Care Group Management teams.
You will produce accurate timetables for senior and junior medical staff working within the Care Group, accurately record planned and unplanned absences, such as leave or sickness and carry out various duties relating to rota management. You will be required to communicate with a wide range of disciplines and possess an aptitude for negotiation and persuasion.
Your role will include reviewing all current rotas and processes around rota coordination and identify how these can be streamlined and improved.
Day to day management of the production of accurate and timely rota’s and timetables for medical staff working within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialities
Coordination of short notice cover
Coordination of rota gaps and forward planning
Coordination and communication of medical rotas
Monitoring of safe staffing compliance
Monitoring and processing of annual leave and sick leave
Coordination of sickness processing and escalating in line with the Trust's Attendance Management Policy
Monitoring of compliance with Junior Doctors Contract (2016), The SAS Doctors Contract (2008) and the Consultant Contract (2003), plus the Working Time Regulations and all relevant policies and procedures
Preparation of management reports as required.
