The role focuses on enabling operational teams to become self-sufficient in reporting while proactively uncovering actionable insights that drive growth and inform strategic decisions. As an individual contributor embedded within the Product team, you will bridge the gap between data and decision-making, ensuring high-quality, impactful analysis. Some of the things you'll get up to: Discover the “why” behind our data: You will uncover the reasons behind business trends and performance, driving what insights we focus on and how they shape strategic decisions. Drive Business Insights: You will develop a deep understanding of our business metrics and provide insightful analysis to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency. Empower Self-Sufficiency: You will collaborate with operational teams to design and implement self-service reporting tools and dashboards, enabling stakeholders to access and interpret data independently. Collaborate with the Business: You will work closely with marketing, operations, product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure that insights and analytics shape decisions and strategies across teams. Deliver Proactive Analysis: You will identify and explore opportunities to leverage data in innovative ways, helping stakeholders understand trends, customer behaviour, and performance drivers. Define Data Requirements and Documentation: You will be expected to define data briefs, create data requirements documentation, and develop analytics solutions. Where required, you will collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure alignment with business needs. Recognised as a Leader and Collaborator: You will be recognised as a strong leader and collaborator, engaging with stakeholders and cross-functional teams of analysts, designers, developers, and researchers to deliver impactful outcomes. Ensure Data Quality and Accessibility: You will partner with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and availability. Maintain High Standards: You will be highly focused on results for the business and our customers. You are expected to maintain a high threshold for success and are not willing to compromise on subpar data accuracy, analytical quality, or actionable insights. Communicate Clearly: You will translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations, tailoring communication to technical and non-technical audiences. We’d like you to have: Technical Expertise: You are proficient in SQL, Excel, and common data visualisation tools such as Power BI. You also have experience with cloud computing platforms and data warehousing, with a particular emphasis on the Microsoft stack - Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Server & Azure Power Platform. Educational Background: You have a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Analytical Mindset: You are a curious and proactive problem solver who enjoys untangling complex problems to deliver actionable insights. Business Acumen: You have a strong understanding of key business metrics and know how to drive growth through data. Communication Skills: You can present complex analyses in a clear and compelling way to stakeholders at all levels. Collaboration: You thrive as part of a cross-functional team, engaging with marketing, operations, product managers, engineers, and other business stakeholders. Self-Starter: You are a motivated individual capable of working independently and identifying opportunities to add value without direct prompts.
