We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join our Digital Services team, responsible for customer interactions for the Bank. Whether it’s for the online digital channels such as Mobile or Online Bank or the Fraud prevention systems that underpin the Customer interaction, the Digital Services team are responsible for delivering the best and protected customer experiences.
We work in close, multi-disciplined teams. We support teams to work in an agile framework to deliver value to our partners. We continuously seek to improve our lean processes and are always looking for a better way to do things.
The difference you’ll make:
* Participating in the evolution of the Digital platform that will change the bank and how our customers interact with us
* Driving the design, implementation, testing, deployment and post-release support in an agile development environment
* Delivering and leading code changes within the team
* Delivering and leading API changes with version control and provide input in the decommissioning activities
* Managing a blend of on-prem, AWS and hybrid deliveries
* Executing on engineering and release priorities successfully through leadership and communication
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
* Extensive front end development experience, specifically with Angular
* Previous experience as a Full Stack Developer focussing on Java and Spring Boot web services
* Broad experience of agile software development practices (Unit testing, Test driven development or CI/CD)
* Extensive experience working with Spring Framework and Message Queues
* GitHub or Stack Overflow contributions
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Experience building applications in cloud environments
* Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
* Able to define technical architecture solutions
What else you need to know:
This permanent role is based in Unity Place – Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home and be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1st Stage – Technical Interview – this will a 30–60-minute technical interview with one of the team
2nd Stage – A 30-minute competency-based interview, to be done virtually
