All UK manufacturing is based at our plant in Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made a significant investment in a new furnace using the latest technology and secures glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The plant, which operates 24/7, can produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy-saving architectural glass on the market today.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the key position of Maintenance responsible for leading our Planned Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will lead the Planned Maintenance team that supports the manufacturing operations to improve equipment reliability and availability performance. The role is suitable for experienced managers but could also be suitable as a development position for anyone looking to grow their leadership skills further.
Our Team
Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will ensure people, processes and technologies are working at optimal performance to meet key production and business objectives.
What You Will Contribute
1. Safety First: Create and maintain a safe working environment by promoting a zero-accidents culture and actively contributing to our site SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) objectives.
2. Mastering Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Take full ownership of the CMMS system to ensure smooth, efficient operations. You'll be the driving force behind scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, prioritizing work orders, and ensuring that maintenance plans seamlessly align with the broader operational objectives of the business.
3. Driving Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement: Become the go-to person for all things performance! Track key maintenance KPIs, dive deep into downtime and efficiency losses, and turn data into actionable insights.
4. Cost & Resource Management: You’ll be the steward of maintenance costs, optimizing costs while balancing the need to reduce downtime with cost-effective solutions.
5. Inspiring Team Development & Leadership: As a leader and mentor, you’ll be a catalyst for positive change. You’ll help drive team performance and continuously upskill your team members, empowering them to reach their full potential.
6. Leading Projects: You’ll bring your expertise to the table by leading smaller projects that focus on eliminating waste, improving equipment reliability, and driving efficiency. Collaborating with maintenance leads, you'll guide them in implementing solutions that directly impact the bottom line, creating a ripple effect that improves performance across the board.
