Hugo is looking for creative, active, and joyful people to come and work for him and help build his 'Gloriously Ordinary Life'. You'll be a part of a new team that will sometimes have a mixture of 1:1 and 2:1 interactions with Hugo, both at his home and out in the community while supporting him during his time with his tutors.
Being able to 'get' Hugo is perhaps more important than experience. If you are experienced and need a new challenge where you can make a real difference as part of a genuinely Hugo-centred team, then this could be the role for you.
Hugo enjoys music and sound, loves acoustically magnificent spaces, and has regular intensive interaction music-making sessions. He loves to be in the water, enjoys being read a good book, and likes to share a joke. We want to help Hugo open up his world while supporting his education and social care needs.
Hugo is making new routines for himself after recently leaving school and values consistency, predictability, and a clear sense of control. You will be part of a new team and will have the support of a family who are passionate advocates for Hugo.
You will need to be robust and resilient, as Hugo can sometimes grab and throw things as a way of communicating how he feels. He needs someone who will not walk away when the going gets tough. Once you have settled in, you will find enjoyment in being part of Hugo's world to be the ultimate reward for your perseverance.
