Are you a resourceful, hands-on problem solver who enjoys both the outdoors and office work? We're looking for a Farm Estates Operations Assistant to join a small, but busy team and oversee the daily operations and upkeep of a large estate. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager, supporting her in the day to day management of the estate. A flexible, practical and level headed person who can deal with emergency situations such as fallen trees or blocked drains is required. Your role will be to organise the relevant contractors to deal with these issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Coordination: Handle issues across the estate, including broken fences, fallen trees, and general repairs
* Contractor Management: Liaise with and supervise external contractors for specialised work
* Tenant Relations: Be the first point of contact for tenants with maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved promptly
* Administration: Manage daily administrative tasks such as responding to emails, maintaining records, and scheduling maintenance
* Communication: Take calls and follow up on issues with tenants, contractors, and estate stakeholders
* On-Site Oversight: Inspect the estate regularly to identify potential issues and ensure everything is in top condition
What We’re Looking For:
* Practical Skills: A proactive individual capable of addressing on-site issues like broken infrastructure or land maintenance
* Communication Skills: Clear and efficient in both written and verbal communication, able to handle tenant queries and liaise with contractors
* Multitasking Ability: Able to juggle multiple tasks and balance outdoor duties with office-based admin
* Driving Licence: Essential for travelling around the estate
* Comfort Outdoors: Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in property or estate management is a plus
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently
* Comfortable with a varied role that combines practical problem-solving with administrative tasks
