The Senior Specialist role is pivotal within the Deliveroo Enterprise Technology and People groups, specifically the People Technology team. This role is essential for driving HR Transformation & Cost Optimisation projects, playing a critical part in transforming the Technology used by our employees into enhanced and fully optimised suites. You will be responsible for coordinating and aligning individuals and teams around common goals, driving the direction of enterprise systems, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Optimisation and HR Transformation Projects:
You will play a crucial role in driving Cost Optimisation and HR Transformation projects, using analytics to make data-driven decisions around platform and costs. You will work closely with the People Tech Lead and the People Transformation Lead to establish and proactively develop strategy and roadmaps across various business products, ensuring a substantial impact Deliveroo-wide.
Roadmap Establishment and Prioritisation:
Your responsibilities will include establishing and prioritising roadmap items with a focus on feature enhancement. Additionally, you will take the lead in Workday release planning and be tasked with developing data-driven analyses to present to Directors and Executives across the year.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
Effective stakeholder management is essential, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organisation. As a senior member of the team, you will work in close partnership with the People Technology Lead and People Team stakeholders to define, drive, and deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
Change Management and Product Delivery:
The role involves meeting business needs, including change, test, and release management, as well as developing change management approaches to promote adoption of new features and applications. You will plan, manage, and deliver large complex initiatives with significant impact, involving new Workday or Deputy features or modules.
Product Expertise and Communication:
You will act as the go-to person for insight into People Systems Products, enabling information flow between the technical team and stakeholders. They must produce and maintain high-quality documentation, designs, presentations, and plans, and consistently ensure delivery of high-quality products.
Day to Day Operations
You will work with your People Technology colleagues to triage and manage tickets end-to-end; ensuring new demand is captured and documented. You will own and manage Demand agendas, Sprint Planning, Stand-ups and Retros and knowledge of Agile Project Management is essential.
Requirements:
1. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
2. Proven experience in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to frame complex problems and develop data-backed proposals
4. Experience in developing and implementing change management strategies
5. Previous experience with product management, preferably within the HRIS or SaaS industry
Preferred Qualifications:
6. A true Workday Expert with significant experience with Workday, including HCM Core, Security, Compensation, Payroll, Absence, Talent and Reporting. Architect level is beneficial.
7. Degree or related higher education / professional certifications related to Product Management, HRIS, or Project Management.
8. Experience in procurement, ability to estimate the value of software features, conducting cost-benefit analysis and constructing business cases.
