Our Development & Advocacy Manager will be a core member of the team and lead our work across London. You will be responsible for the development of our tree planting projects across the city, alongside being the charity’s voice in the capital – developing partner relationships, advocating for urban trees and raising the profile of the charity with key stakeholders. The role will involve a large amount of interpersonal work and requires a confident, well-organised and friendly individual, who can both lead the development of projects, and act as a spokesperson for the charity and urban forestry in the city. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with partners and these will be key to success. There will be close working with a range of internal teams and colleagues at TfC, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks is essential. You will work under the steer of the Senior Development Manager, engaging with local authority and other landowners across London to develop TfC’s seasonal programme of tree planting projects. You will represent TfC to partners and in key London networks, such as the London Urban Forestry Partnership, and be confident at representing the organisation. As the organisation embarks on a new strategic period from April 2025, the role will be required to incorporate an increasing amount of advocacy work to ensure key messages are communicated effectively; influencing decision makers to best support urban forestry.
