We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Manager for a lovely Elderly Nursing Home in Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in care management, nursing care, elderly care, and a thorough understanding of CQC regulations. This role requires a dynamic individual who can lead the team to deliver exceptional care and maintain the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring a high standard of care is provided to all residents.
- Implement and manage care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and standards, preparing for and managing CQC inspections.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as required.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Manage the financial performance of the nursing home, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the nursing home operates in a safe and secure environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and best practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive culture within the nursing home, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in elderly care and nursing home management.
Requirements:
- Ideally a nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursing home or similar care setting.
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
