Principal Accountabilities:
The creation and development of the following deliverables for each new model introduction:
* Vehicle assembly concept design
* Initial virtual environment setup, transitioning to physical validation and delivery
* Process sequencing, documentation, and product traceability methods
* Developed in alignment with existing series products and future brand strategies
* PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
* Support and drive the implementation of best practices to improve right-first-time (RFT) delivery
* Generation and reporting of Hours Per Car (HPC)
* Ownership and maintenance of the Hours Per Car (HPC) data for new model introductions, ensuring plant efficiency and output targets are met
* Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to identify and resolve production bottlenecks
* Line balancing, including conducting time and motion studies across the plant
* Facility layout and utilization
* Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to lead the design of new layouts or amendments to existing ones, ensuring that new models align with the overall plan and vision for the facility
Support and influence the following cross-functional business activities to achieve project deliverables:
* Concept and design reviews
* Engineering release delivery
* DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* A degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or a similar field, or equivalent experience in a comparable role
* Ideally, you will have experience in:
* Planning and execution of new vehicle programs
* Complex vehicle systems
* Vehicle assembly processes
* Trim and final processes
* End-of-line vehicle processing and finishing
* Specification and procurement of assembly equipment
* Identifying and resolving product-related issues, ensuring all quality targets are met
* Implementing safe working practices

* Willingness to travel to off-site development facilities within the UK and across Europe, requiring flexibility in travel arrangements
* Demonstrate the drive to push the business towards "Best in Class" performance standards, with a strategic, lateral approach to problem-solving and decision-making
