Main duties of the job
* To be responsible for leading and delivering a specialist clinical pharmacy service to patients, medical and nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in accordance with legal and professional standards.
* To provide a ward-based medicines management service and participate in MDT's in specialist clinical areas including Mental Health, Medical wards and AMU.
* To be responsible for leading and delivering the outpatient Clozapine service at YYF.
* To act as Directorate Pharmacist, provide expert specialist pharmaceutical advice and reports on medicines expenditure within a directorate, or equivalent work.
* To provide Professional/Clinical cover for the dispensary services.
* To deputise and support the Pharmacy Manager at YYF when required.
* To provide training and education to all pharmacy staff that meets the statutory, professional and regulatory requirements of the profession.
You will be expected to participate in weekend, bank holiday, and out-of-hours emergency duty services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of post registration in Hospital Pharmacy Environment
* Recent experience of providing ward/clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting
* Experience of work place tutoring/mentoring

Qualifications and/or knowledge
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
* Pre-registration competency based training
* Postgraduate clinical specialist knowledge acquired through diploma level training i.e. Diploma in clinical pharmacy/ MSC or equivalent experience
* Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC) or eligible for membership.
* Accredited tutor for Clinical Pharmacy Diploma
* Independent prescriber
* Working towards RPS faculty membership
