Accounts Receivable Administrator
Who are we: Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation, professionalism and community.
During the course of a glittering history spanning three centuries, the Club has been shaped and guided by its aspirational motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum - nothing but the best is good enough.
One of only three clubs to have been a founder member of both the Football League and Premier League, Everton has played more games in English football's top flight than any other club.
While rightly proud of our rich past and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium opening in summer 2025.
In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our Men’s, Women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and continue to compete at the highest level of the game.
About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our Finance department within our iconic Head Office within the Royal Liver Building.
As Accounts Receivable Administrator, you will reconcile the daily sales generated from our ticketing system to ensure accurate financial figures are available for reporting each month, as well as processing sales invoices and maintaining sales ledger customer accounts.
You will take responsibility for defined tasks as directed and assist when required on various ad hoc projects while always adhering to our ‘Nil Satis’ philosophy.
Other key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the sales processed via the ticketing system are reconciled daily
* Investigating any variances; liaising with the relevant departments to ensure these are identified and any corrections made in the reporting month
* Reconciling sales monthly within the timeframe set; posting invoices and any adjustments, up to providing final figures to the management accountant
* Generating invoices and credit notes as required relating to Hospitality Sales
* Monitoring receipt of incoming payments through the bank, ensuring that payments are allocated onto the correct accounts and against the correct invoices, maintaining a clean sales ledger
* Reconciliation of sales ledger to nominal ledgers at month end
Who we are looking for: We are looking for an AAT qualified person with proven Accounts Administration experience, and excellent IT skills in Excel/Word/Outlook as well as sales ledger systems.
If you are a self-starter with an ambitious spirit who is prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, execute against ambitious goals and consistently embrace our Everton Values in what you do, then we would love to hear from you!
This position is on a permanent contract and will be contracted to 35 hours per week.
