Here at More Leisure Trust, our goal is to encourage active, healthy lifestyles in a safe, warm, clean, friendly, and fun environment. We aim to be the destination of choice for being part of an active community, helping you to make MORE of every day. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer-focused team, and right now we are looking to recruit Outdoor Activity Instructors to join the centre and our Outdoor Adventure Zone.
Holme Pierrepont Country Park, home of the National Water Sports Centre, has excellent water facilities, accommodation, a campsite, an Outdoor Adventure Zone, a Life Fitness Gym, and marvelous nature trails for cycling and walking. It is a favourite destination for families, schools, corporate clients, and individuals.
In this role, you will deliver a variety of activities and sessions across our Lagoon and Outdoor Adventure departments, including but not limited to Sky Trail, Lagoon Activities, and Lagoon Wipeout.
You will be the face and first point of contact for our Outdoor Adventure Zone, ensuring our customers have a safe, enjoyable, and adventurous experience both on dry land and on the water.
You will help facilitate a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities.
These positions will be offered on a flexible basis, with most available hours from April to October. The working hours will mostly be on weekends and school holidays between 9 am and 6 pm.
About You
To be considered for this exciting role, you must be available to work weekends and school holidays. Candidates with previous experience delivering activities or customer service to varied group sizes are ideal; however, we will consider candidates without this experience if you have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and can provide outstanding customer service.
Essential skills for this role include being a team player, supporting colleagues whenever necessary, and being able to work well under pressure with a positive outlook and attitude. Due to the varied nature of activities, we require applicants to be comfortable working with heights and be confident swimmers due to water-based activities. Candidates must also be comfortable working outdoors in a natural environment.
Full training and uniform will be provided to successful candidates.
Due to health and safety regulations, you must be 18+ to be considered unless you turn 18 before August this year.
This is an exciting opportunity for seasonal work in an enjoyable outdoor environment, being out in the fresh air with hopefully plenty of sun. If you feel you are suitable for this role, please apply today!
