Main Purpose of Position:
The Internal Sales Executive acts as the first point of contact with the customer, and must portray professionalism and confidence at all times, delivering outstanding customer service. You will capitalise on commercial opportunities through negotiation of prices to achieve the targets set by the Management Team.
Main Duties of the Position:
1. Effectively and efficiently deal with telephone/email/web enquiries, sourcing products, and raising quotations in a timely manner.
2. Pro-actively chase all quotations, until the order is placed, or the enquiry has been lost (giving reasons i.e. product no longer required / too expensive / lead time too long etc.)
3. When an order is placed, double check all information is accurate i.e. supplier information, pricing etc. before handing over to the Support Team to process.
4. Develop their customer base on their specific sector of the business.
5. Develop a good understanding of our competitors, and their pricing levels.
6. To achieve team and individual sales targets as set by the Management Team within the agreed timescales.
7. To meet and exceed agreed specific performance objectives.
8. Provide the Management with forecast / sales reports if required.
9. Ensure all orders received are accurate and correct before submitting to the Support Team to process.
10. Ensure all customer complaints are forwarded to the Support Team immediately with all the necessary information they will require.
11. Pro-actively develop their own area of the business.
12. Work within the companies set process, and procedures.
13. Assist and cover colleagues through busy periods / holiday cover.
14. Ad hoc duties as per company requirements.
