Step Teacher are working with a Secondary School in St Albans who are looking for a Music Teacher to start in April 2025 on a full time basis. The role is initially a long term supply Music Teacher role with the view to become permanent from September 2025.

Music Teacher Role:
* Strong knowledge of the curriculum in Music
* Able to maintain an organised classroom and performance and practice areas, alongside professional use of associated instruments and resources.
* Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school
* Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress
* Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
* Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Music Teacher Requirements:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
* Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Music Teacher
* Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
* A relevant Music or Performing Arts related degree is desirable
* SEND experience is desirable
