Grundon’s estate encompasses industrial, commercial industrial, commercial, residential, agricultural and leisure properties and, as Assistant Estates Surveyor, based near Reading, you will be involved in every aspect of the five-strong team's work. What you’ll be doing as Assistant Estates Surveyor The Estates team provides our operational colleagues with the facilities and permissions they need to operate efficiently and effectively.
As Assistant Estates Surveyor, you will directly lead projects, but with the support of an experienced and approachable team, and deal with all aspects of Estates. For example, land and property management, meeting with contractors (for instance, a tree planter or fence repairer), visiting a potential new site, talking to a prospective tenant about renting land, in the office agreeing new tenancy agreements – no two days are the same in this role! Your duties will include:
• Helping to create value-added development opportunities from the portfolio.• Rent reviews, and assisting with the management of leases and licences.• Managing contractors and consultants undertaking work.
What you’ll need • You’re working towards your RICS qualification (we will support and put you through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)). • Entry-level experience in, or working knowledge of, property management.• Ideally, entry-level experience of construction, farming, minerals or waste.• Full valid driving licence.
