We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team. You will be employed on a temporary basis to support a student on a 1:1 basis in Post-16 at our Knighton Fields Centre. You will be working 30 hours per week for 39 weeks (term time plus one week outside the school year). You will need to be committed to providing support to learners with a range of complex needs, be flexible in your approach and able to work as part of a team. Applicants should have good literacy and numeracy skills. Understanding and experience of using Makaton, PECs and sensory approaches would be advantageous but not essential. Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable as is an innovative and creative approach which ensures children and young people who have a range of special educational needs achieve the best possible learning outcomes.
