Our client, a Defence and Security Supplier is looking for a PMO Analyst to join them on a 6-month initial contract at their site in Tewkesbury. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the sole British nationality and be willing to obtain SC Clearance. Hybrid working, 3 days per week onsite. 6 month initial contract. Rates are open for negotiation, inside IR35.Responsibilities of the role: Responsible for bringing schedule expertise to deliver best practice, consistent and accurate project Schedules. Ensuring all key items are accurately reflected in project schedules and corresponding resource plans, specifically: Analysis and reporting - Analysing and reporting data to develop a complete and accurate picture that will inform decisions regarding the management, quality and control of projects. Performance and Baseline management - Identifying, agreeing and implementing appropriate performance management techniques for the project. This includes identifying trends and deviations from the original plan and recommending appropriate corrective actions. Schedule control - Identifying, applying and evaluating schedule control techniques, which support the management of progress against a timetable and consider factors such as limited resources and estimating uncertainty. Cost control - Identifying, applying and evaluating costs to support the monitoring, managing and reporting of costs. Quality control - identifying, applying and evaluating quality control techniques to support the monitoring and managing of quality. Risk control - Identifying, applying and evaluating risk control techniques to inform the risk management process. Change Control - Identifying and highlighting change, driving projects through the change management process. Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and carry out resource aggregations from the current and forward schedules to drive efficient resource management and skills heat-maps. Work with the Engineering Team Leads on a bi-weekly basis regarding resource allocations, generating various resource reports and developing new reports. Support the Project Management Organisation to produce inputs and prepare presentations for the monthly Resource Review meeting and monthly Supply meeting. Provide analysis on the data changes month on month. Support Internal and External Audits, demonstrating that the correct governance and assurance has been applied to projects. Additionally holding the responsibility for the record of approvals and maintaining the project management database with appropriate evidence. Coordinate the Contract Acceptance process, working closely with PMs, Finance and Commercial to drive through the appropriate lifecycle gates and maintenance of business system data. The role will also require preparation and guidance for Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) on major programmes.Experience & Skills: Essential: Demonstrable direct experience of project planning, costing, risk-management and change management including working within a Project Office environment. Highly computer literate including MS Office and advanced user of MS Project Strong interpersonal skills combined with experience of leading teams and managing relationships with all levels of the business. Full project lifecycle experience including the practical and effective use of formal project and risk management tools and methodologies. Knowledge of Earned Value management and Schedule Risk Analysis.Desirable: Industry recognised Project Management qualification, such as APM Defence industry and/or experience of an engineering organisation. Experience of MS Server, SAP, SharePoint (and Power BI)
