Job Title: Gypsy and Traveller Site Maintenance Person Salary: £30,559 progressing to £33,366 Hours: 37 Location: Main base is Hatfield, with work countywide Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Adult Care Services About the team Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent building maintenance and customer service skills? Come and use your building skills as part of our maintenance team at Hertfordshire County Council, Gypsy & Traveller Service. You will be part of a team running and maintaining our residential sites. Whilst our office is based in Hatfield the work is County wide and you will be required to have a full driving licence. About the role Our well-established maintenance team are looking for an experienced Multi-Trader to join us to provide a high standard of repairs and maintenance Responsibilities in the role will include carrying out repairs to property as part of a team and maintaining tidiness in the public areas, and to encourage tenants to keep their plots presentable. We operate an out of hours service, which means you would be on-call one week in every eight weeks. This is paid in addition to your salary This is a fast-paced environment; you will be carrying out reactive maintenance and planned improvements on our residential sites. Therefore, you’ll need to be able to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload.
