Teaching Assistant

About Us: Protocol Education is dedicated to connecting passionate educators with schools that nurture growth and learning. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in South Shields.
Position Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development of students. You will work closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, assisting in the delivery of lessons and providing one-on-one support to students as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
* Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Provide individual support to students with varying needs.
* Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
* Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
* Assist in the implementation of special educational needs (SEN) strategies when required.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting student learning.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
