Role context
FTI Consulting’s Strategic communications segment is looking to appoint a Managing Director to further develop our leading M&A and Activism practice. As a recognised expert you will work within our organisation supporting corporates and strategics execute complex transactions and prepare for, and defend against, leading activists.
This is an opportunity to bring deep transactions knowledge to support our growth objectives in this field, work alongside sector and international teams and help grow this focus area for our business. In addition, there will be opportunities to work alongside the wider consulting M&A capabilities FTI has across corporate finance, litigation, business transformation and economic consulting, amongst others.
Driving our growth across in the UK and beyond, you will focus on developing our client portfolio as well as growing current relationships.
This role is based in London although will involve working with teams across our business.
Responsibilities
* Lead M&A and Activism situations day-to-day, working closely with the UK Head of M&A and Activism
* Expand our client portfolio as well as develop new relationships within existing accounts
* Deliver on the work won, supported by the organisation around you.
* Work collaboratively with teams and peers in the EMEA region and across the world.
* Mentoring and coaching colleagues to support talent development at FTI within the M&A and Activism Communications practice.
Capabilities
* Experience in advising clients on M&A and Shareholder Activism Communications related topics in a consulting environment.
* Track record of having worked on multi jurisdictions M&A deals and transactions projects with corporate clients.
* Proven ability of growing a business at scale.
* Experience working in complex, matrix environments, working with multicultural stakeholders and colleagues.
* Track record of existing and maintaining relationships at senior level within key referrers such as banks, private equity firms and law firms.
* Demonstrate experience of working collaboratively with senior stakeholders including C suite and Board.
* Experience in mentoring and coaching colleagues, supporting their development as well as the growth of the business.
