Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The ACP will provide clinical oversight and leadership for the tri-borough Depot Medication Service, ensuring the delivery of a safe, organized, and holistic service for service users. They will lead the Depot Service Nurses and oversee service development and evaluation, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality evidence-based service. The ACP will demonstrate a deep and systematic knowledge and understanding of local care systems, collaborating with and referring to them independently when required. As the clinical lead, the ACP will deliver specialist-specific interventions, working in collaboration with the person, their family, carers, and a range of professionals and agencies. The ACP will exemplify leadership, resilience, and determination, managing situations that are unfamiliar, uncertain, complex, or unpredictable, and seeking to build confidence in others. They will receive, lead, deliver, and exemplify a culture of critically reflective clinical supervision. The ACP will manage the expectations of both clinical interventions and service demands, considering available resources such as finance, staffing, and access to services. Additionally, the ACP will support the development of trainee advanced clinical practitioners, acting as a role model, supervisor, and assessor. They will understand budgetary responsibility and contribute towards the business plan, ensuring standard operating procedures reflect current practice, managing risk, recruitment, and performance monitoring.
