HMP Millsike is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Tutor to guide our team of five Work & Skills Tutors and deliver transformative education. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting tutors, ensuring high-quality education, and fostering a collaborative, learner-centred culture. What You’ll Do: Lead & Support: Conduct one-to-ones, mentor tutors, and provide tailored guidance to help them excel in their roles. Teach & Inspire: Deliver outstanding sessions that showcase best practices and inspire both learners and your team. Drive Excellence: Monitor and enhance the quality of teaching, promote innovation, and champion continuous improvement. Collaborate & Coach: Create a supportive space for sharing best practices and tackling challenges together. Safeguard & Support: Ensure a safe, inclusive environment while promoting wellbeing for both tutors and learners. What We’re Looking For: A full teaching qualification (Level 5 or above) and experience in Work & Skills education, ideally up to Level 2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team. A passion for adaptive teaching strategies that meet diverse learner needs. Experience in delivering education in challenging or secure settings is desirable but not essential.
