The opportunity
You will be a critical contributor within a matrix marketing team who collectively execute the trading marketing calendar across a mix of CRM, owned and 3rd party marketing channels and work with our partners in IAG Loyalty to maximise exploitation of Executive Club, British Airways and partner channels, alongside the development of the content & management of online assets.
This role will partner closely with the Senior Merchandising Manager and Data Analytics Manager for the brand to ensure optimal omni-channel execution and lead the analytics and ROI of the online activity.
What you will be doing?
* Brand and Marketing: Overall responsibility for the brand and marketing plan, aligning all communication, acquisition, and promotional activity into a single coherent strategy, with total focus on customers experience and retail agenda.
* Budget Design: Responsible for distribution of significant budget (>£1m) and measurement of ROI.
* Strategic Awareness: Devise, create, direct and execute marketing strategies from full year channel calendars to reactive plans, to drive actionable results to the overall customer target and objectives.
* Strategic Decision Making: Play an integral role in the Senior Leadership Team, owning marketing and customer experience strategies on the creation of campaigns, offers and reactive plans. Work closely with the Leadership Team to gain approval of initiatives.
* Creative Management: Managing the design and production of marketing materials for use in owned and 3rd party channels, overseeing briefing content creation requirements to external agencies.
* Channel Optimisation: Assessing performance of marketing activities, working closely with the Data Analyst to monitor, test, analyse and optimise all marketing channels. Working with the e-commerce team to review impact onsite (channel mix, entry points, conversion).
* Execution of the IAGL Retail brand’s above the line channels (print, OOH, linear TV), performance marketing (SEM, Display, Affiliates, etc) and CRM (email, SMS), either directly or using external agencies.
* Working closely with IAG Loyalty marketing teams on the execution and approval of campaigns in Executive Club, British Airways and Non-Air Partner channels.
* Work closely with PR agencies executing campaigns, press initiatives and strategies.
* Management of the company’s attendance at events, such as trade shows, conferences and festivals.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring?
* A minimum of six years marketing experience, ideally within a retail environment.
* You will be a Subject Matter Expertise in brand and marketing.
* Experience of managing a wide variety of marketing channels, ideally within drinks or grocery retail environment.
* Experience in the using cloud-based marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Klaviyo.
* Skills in core marketing capabilities (e.g., OOH, Press, CRM, SEO, PPC, Display, Affiliate, Social).
* Knowledge of e-commerce (e.g., content, SEO, CRO, MVT, Web Analytics).
* Experience of managing external agencies that are undertaking marketing and PR activities.
* Highly organised with attention to detail when performing tasks, ability to anticipate and manage problems, with an ability to prioritise and escalate where necessary.
* Good communication skills; communicating clearly in writing and in person in both formal and informal environments.
