Job Title: Group Head of HR Location : Nationwide - Based at either Lasham, Sywell or Doncaster with ability to travel regularly to all 2Excel Sites. About the Role: The HR Team provides support, guidance and direction across the Group, ensuring we comply with any statutory obligations and also implement best practice. We are seeking a full time Group Head of HR to support the Group HR Director in leading and overseeing all HR functions across the 2Excel Group. This newly created role will ensure effective HR operations and strategic alignment with the Company's goals. The Group Head of HR will also deputise for the Group HR Director as needed. Key Responsibilities will include: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy. Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Act as a strategic partner to senior management, offering insights and recommendations on HR matters. Represent HR on the Executive Board and therefore also meet the Terms of Reference for Executive Board membership. Oversee day-to-day HR operations through the HR Managers, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Support the HR Managers to manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Oversee recruitment processes, including talent acquisition and onboarding. Identify and address skills gaps within the organisation. Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression. Support succession planning and talent management initiatives. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management issues. Implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention. Monitor and report on HR metrics, providing insights to drive continuous improvement. Manage HR budgets and resources effectively. The base site will be determined by the 2Excel site closest to the candidates address. The successful candidate must be willing to travel on a regular basis UK wide and in Ireland, and should be comfortable with being away from home at least 1-2 nights per week as standard. When not required on site, as determined by operational need, the successful candidate will be able to work from home 1-2 days per week if they choose to. About You: You’ll already be working in a Head of HR Role or you’re at Manager/Business Partner level and feel ready to take the next step. You may have HR qualifications such as CIPD, but this isn’t essential if you’ve got the right level of experience instead. You’ll be a confident strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR strategies. With a strong working knowledge of UK, and preferably Irish, Employment Law, you’ll be used to working with senior leadership teams, managers and employees to implement best practice, with a focus on continuous improvement. You’ll have a proactive, solution-orientated mindset and be able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. You’ll be a natural leader, with the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels of the business whilst maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
