Construction Project Manager
Location: Golford, Cranbrook (TN17)
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 + Excellent pension scheme + access to gym and swimming pool + 33 days holiday
Overview
Are you experienced in construction project management? Do you want to work on prestigious building projects and play a key role in modernising a leading independent school? This esteemed school has undertaken over £30 million in capital projects in the last decade, with plans for significant upgrades and new state-of-the-art facilities over the next ten years.
The Role
* Lead management and delivery of major site projects.
* Collaborate closely with the Director of Estates on strategic planning and development of capital projects.
* Provide pre-contract advice on programme, buildability, risks, and opportunities.
* Develop and update construction programmes.
* Assist in developing contractor proposals.
* Ensure high standards of health and safety across all sites.
* Maintain good contractual awareness.
* Oversee daily site operations, ensuring organisation, tidiness, safety, and minimal disruption to school activities.
* Plan staff resources and manage construction teams and subcontractors.
* Review workmanship and ensure quality control.
* Act as the school's designated individual under the Building Safety Act 2022, working with the Director of Estates and Grounds as the Principal Contractor.
The Person
* Proven track record in construction project management.
* Ideally with a trade background before moving into project management.
