About the role
Our Food and Beverage department plays a key part in providing our passengers with a smooth and positive journey through our airport. Our Prep Chefs play a pivotal role in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring that our passengers are sent off on their travels satisfied. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and all preparation areas.
* Cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils.
* Supporting the Chef with food and dessert preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
* Organising the stock room.
* Embodying the Airports ‘One Team' culture and understanding that there may be times when you are required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
* Being available to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
To undertake this role, you need to have the following skills and experience:
* Experience working in a kitchen (advantageous).
* Knowledge of food safety.
