We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Senior Finance Partner (Property) to join our team and play a key role in shaping financial strategies that drive success and sustainability.
The Role:
As a Senior Finance Partner, you will report to the Head of Finance (Housing & Property) and be the lead working closely with Property Directors, Heads of Service and wider management team, providing insightful and value-driven financial support to aid decision-making and achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and governance, ensuring financial policies and controls are effectively implemented. Managing a small finance team, you will drive strong engagement, development, and performance while leading on key projects such as integration, transformation, and procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Partnering predominantly with the Property directorate, strong engagement with wider stakeholders at senior level in other teams such as IT, group finance, people partner is required to ensure value add service for Directors and Heads of.
* Provide financial analysis, insight and commentary to property, housing, care and finance leadership teams and relevant committees to support decision-making.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations in line with reporting deadlines. Provide support for audit responses related to service area.
* Lead on co-ordinating the budget setting process for property and ongoing forecasting on I&E, capital expenditure, and income, assessing the impact on long term plan and covenants.
* Lead on service-specific projects, ensuring effective financial management, reporting and governance in line with accounting policy.
* Lead on change related to finance transformation and system development to ensure continued efficiency and improvement.
* Maintain robust financial controls and governance across all areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and legislation.
* Manage and develop a small finance team, supporting the wider management team in delivering the people plan ensuring equity, high engagement and performance.
About You:
We are looking for a proactive and analytical finance professional with a strong background in management accounting and financial control. You will be a confident leader, capable of building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
* Exposure to property management accounts or partnering roles, with a strong understanding of the key areas of property in particular expenditure related to compliance servicing and remedials, repairs and planned works.
* Strong technical expertise in management accounting, budgeting, and financial control.
* Proficient in financial and other systems (e.g. Agresso, Hyperion, Northgate, Plentific).
* Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects successfully.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working in a relevant sector or possessing transferable industry knowledge.
