Working as part of a team of Technical Certifiers, you will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive certification service, for digital payment terminals. The position will allow an individual to expand their knowledge and skill set to become a TQM Technical Certifier in digital payment terminals.
This is a home based role, with the occasional requirement to visit the TUV SUD offices for meetings/training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performing reviews of technical construction files of payment terminals for the Terminal Quality Management certification scheme.
* Assessing quality management documentation in preparation for 3rd party audits of design and manufacturing facilities of payment and providing feedback to customers.
* Providing guidance to scheme members and intercompany networks for the Terminal Quality Management certification scheme.
* Liaising with customers to provide feedback and complete documentation assessments.
Essential Criteria – the successful candidate will have/be:
* Qualification to HND (or equivalent level) in electronics/electrical engineering or similar
* Experience of reading and applying technical specifications
* Experience of validation / type approval / Compliance management within an engineering sector (i.e. digital payments, wireless communications, EMC, Safety, Environmental etc)
* Applied knowledge and experience within the Electronics design, manufacturing, testing, inspection, certification sectors.
* Willingness to learn and study new technology types and certification areas.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers
* Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable Criteria – it would also be beneficial, but not essential, to have:
* Experience of applying regulatory compliance schemes (TQM, RED, MED, FCC etc)
* Knowledge of quality management system processes and procedures.
* Ability to evaluate, and when required, communicate to others new developing technologies.
* Willingness to attend technical committees and meetings to convey regularity information to others.
