Position: Cover Supervisor

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor to join an Ofsted Outstanding school in Stockton-on-Tees. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting our students' learning and ensuring continuity in lessons during teacher absence. You will contribute to the success of a school renowned for its high standards of teaching and student care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise students across a range of subjects during teacher absence, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment.
* Follow lesson plans and deliver instructions provided by absent teachers.
* Support students in completing tasks and provide encouragement to help them stay engaged with their learning.
* Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, respectful classroom.
* Liaise with teachers and staff to provide feedback on student progress and behaviour.
* Assist with classroom preparation, including setting up learning materials and equipment.
Essential Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
* Strong classroom management skills.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
* Passion for working with young people and contributing to their development.
* Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
* Must be subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
