The Role
We are looking to recruit a Business Development Coordinator to support business development initiatives across the organisation. This newly-created role offers an exciting opportunity to support and refine our Business Development activities to drive business growth.
The Business Development Coordinator will:
1. Support the development of new business, including managing relevant portals to scan for new requests for proposals;
2. Identify and analyse opportunities for suitability;
3. Project-manage the bid writing and proposal processes;
4. Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to gather necessary input.
Skills And Experience
You will have at least 3 years of work experience in Business Development or a related field (e.g. fundraising or partnerships). It is essential that you can demonstrate experience of and an interest in the wider environmental and conservation finance sector in your application.

* A track record of pitching new business offerings that resulted in short-term and/or long-term business wins;
* Proven ability to exceed revenue targets and secure long-term contracts;
* Extensive experience in identifying, managing and growing client relationships;
* Account-Based Marketing (ABM) expertise, with a focus on driving lead generation and new business development;
* CRM Sales & Marketing adeptness;
* Experience in developing business development strategies, integrating traditional methods with Thought Leadership and event planning to generate leads;
* Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
We do not expect candidates to possess all these skills and competencies; most importantly, what we are looking for is someone who can creatively show how their skills and experience could be adapted to fit this profile, if/where there are gaps. Business Development experience, especially developing high-quality bids and proposals with evidence of winning new business in past roles, is essential.

* Base salary of £34,000 - £37,000 (GBP) per annum based on experience;
* Up to 10% of salary discretionary annual bonus and discretionary Christmas bonus of up to £1,000;
* Opportunity to become a shareholder after 12 months with a potential dividend allowance;
* 25 days holiday plus 2-3 days free at Christmas (plus English bank holidays);
