1. Undertake specialist occupational therapy interventions for patients with profound and complex disability to facilitate independence in their own environment by the provision of Environmental Control Systems. 2. Undertake evaluation, prescription and monitoring of specialist technical equipment in the community, ensuring that it meets patients clinical and functional needs. 3. Provide specialist advice to the team regarding patients current function status, potential to use environmental control systems and how patients needs can be met by off the shelf or bespoke technical equipment. 4. Provide education and training to clinical and rehabilitation teams across Dorset and Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, providing them with the knowledge and skills to identify and refer appropriate patients to the Environmental Control Service.
