Our team is responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the school premises. They play a crucial role in ensuring that students, staff, and visitors have a safe and pleasant experience while at the school.
Performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the overall cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas, you'd be:
Cleaning classrooms and common areas.
Cleaning and sanitising restrooms, refilling dispensers, towels etc.
Maintaining clean and polished floors.
Cleaning windows and glass surfaces as needed.
Removing litter.
Keeping entryways and walkways clear of debris.
Assisting with deep cleaning projects (e.g., during school breaks).
Upholding health and safety standards and following protocols.
Working closely with other school staff.
Reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
Benefits:
Regular hours - 4pm - 8pm
Monday to Friday
No weekend or bank holiday work - unless you'd like occasional overtime
Between 15 & 30 hours per week during term time.
Uniform & PPE is provided.
Statutory sick pay, depending on hours worked.
We're looking for a team player...
Who, ideally, has prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work.
You must pay attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.
You should be able to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a wider team.
You should understand COSHH & Risk Assessments - although training will be given.
You need to have the stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the day.
You need a strong understanding of both verbal and written English.
You must be willing to have and/or apply for an Enhanced DBS with Child Barring - this is an essential requirement, which we can guide you through, and must be in place before you start work.
