Our patient focussed Facilities Team is undergoing a defining period of change with a number of retirements and the introduction of the new post of Deputy Facilities Director.
We provide a complex range of services all operated in-house which includes exemplar patient food services from our CPU, a full laundry production unit, domestic services, portering, transport, security and waste management. We are a team of over 1900 people.
There are a number of exciting strategic challenges for us to plan for over the next few years which will transform our services, and these roles will play a crucial role in delivering change.
The roles are very much about leadership, and we are looking for inspiring leaders with a focus on patients, staff engagement and development, with proven strategic and transformational leadership skills. The successful candidate will prioritize safety.
The Head of Domestic Services role carries responsibility for cleaning services across both our Acute and Community premises and is a key member of the Facilities senior leadership team.
* To provide professional leadership and support to deliver Domestic cleaning services across the Trust.
* To take the lead on major strategic change projects within Facilities, particularly changes to the delivery of ward-based services.
* To be responsible for delivering continuous improvement and standards in a cost-effective manner.
* Responsible for strategic business planning, budget control and delivery of efficiency targets.
* To ensure compliance with appropriate national standards and in particular the “2021 National Cleaning Standards.”
* To sit on appropriate Trust wide committees and represent Domestic Services and Facilities Services, in particular as a member of the Infection Control Operational Group (ICOG).
* Responsible for the investigation and production of reports in respect of conduct cases and grievances raised both in Domestic Services and within the wider Facilities Services environment.
