JOB TITLE: Senior Associate Claims Examiner - Velonetic
LOCATION: Remote UK Based Flexible working with the opportunity for hybrid working from Chatham
TYPE: Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week)
Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. We have been operating for over 20 years in the London market (Lloyd's and Company), in both insurance and reinsurance business. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed.
Job Overview:
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who as a Senior Associate Claims Examiner works as part of a Team under the direction of a Team Manager, performing standard technical checks and processes as they relate to the risk being processed to ensure that agreed market SLAs in respect of turnaround and quality are achieved.
A Senior Associate Claims Examiner is distinguished from the associate role in that they work more independently with less technical supervision, processing more complex work. They also provide support to less experienced employees.
All work processed must meet agreed service levels in respect of quality and turnaround times.
Training will be provided for all insurance documentation / systems required to perform the role.
What you will be doing:
1. Conduct technical checks on insurance documentation to ensure accuracy, noticing discrepancies or errors.
2. Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve queries and issues related to the work being processed.
3. Own your workload.
4. Input details into the database to initiate settlement/updates.
5. Complete accurate reporting associated with the work being processed.
6. Support team members and customers with complex technical issues.
7. Provide training to team members and new recruits.
8. Support and contribute to innovation and process improvement projects.
9. Review and validate insurance documentation.
