How you'll make a difference. this would be your first step in your mortgage underwriting career. Our Mortgage Lending team have an opportunity for a Document Underwriters to join the team and be part of our new Mortgage Hub. You'll be based at our new Sovereign House Head Office with flexibility for remote working. As one of our Document Underwriters you will have the responsibility for underwriting Documents by reviewing and making decisions based on case profiles and risk. You will deliver sound customer outcomes with fully documented rationale and verify documents and review valuation reports. What you'll bring to the role: Computer literate and experience of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Strong attention to detail Excellent communicator (oral and written) Previous experience in an originations / mortgage processing role Good decision making, understanding when to escalate / hand off to an underwriter Good organisational skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure, meeting deadlines set by team leader.
