Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to step into the role of interim Director of Nursing PCIC. This senior leadership position is essential to ensuring the delivery of high quality patient centred care across our primary and community health services and requires strategic leadership to support the transformation of Primary and Community Services.
Applicants must have demonstrable experience in a Senior nursing leadership role, preferably with experience of working in primary and community care. A proven track record in leading and managing clinical services, managing change, workforce development and performance management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a passion to drive excellence in nursing care and improving community health outcomes are an essential component of the role.
Main Duties of the Job
The purpose of this role is to support the Clinical Board provide strategic leadership to ensure the effective and efficient management of all services within the responsibility and accountability of the Clinical Board. In particular, the post holder will be accountable for the effective and efficient organisation and management of patient care services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Job Responsibilities
1. To lead the implementation of the Clinical Board Quality and Safety Plan and ensure that effective systems that meet the needs of all patients are developed, implemented and maintained.
2. To contribute and support the implementation of the Clinical Boards Financial Management and Reporting plan and the appropriate actions to ensure that all resources and transactions are conducted with probity and in accordance with approved policy.
3. To review, implement and maintain effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. This will include effective multi-disciplinary team working to ensure the Clinical Board and the Health Board achieves their strategic and organisational objectives.
