Deputy Headteacher – Pastoral Support, Personal Development and Behaviour
Leadership Pay Spine (L18-22)
Required Easter 2025 or by negotiation
We are looking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher who is determined to drive up standards, have a positive ‘people-centred’ approach and be committed to making a difference. We need someone who can lead from the front, develop leadership in others and effect rapid and sustainable change in raising the standards of student behaviour and personal development.
At Aldridge School, we believe that education is more than just grades. Grades are certainly the 'passport' that pupils need to move on to the next stage of their lives and we will do whatever it takes to ensure they are able to achieve their aspirations. However, the real art of education is to develop confident, resilient, and independent young people who have great prospects for the future.
You will work closely with a reorganised Senior Leadership Team in a culture of constant improvement, with that flair for creative leadership that will ensure an outstanding education for our students. You will take a lead on the effective day-to-day pastoral management of the school ensuring a brilliant climate of learning for all students and a true reflection of our ‘Achieving Excellence Together’ ethos.
This is a high profile SLT role within the school and previous experience as an existing Deputy or Senior Assistant Headteacher with demonstrable impact and success is an essential pre-requisite.
By joining The Mercian Trust, you will be offered a comprehensive benefits package including:
* A highly competitive salary to reflect the role
* A range of high-quality staff benefits including a cash-back health scheme, exclusive discounts and gym membership, and cycle salary sacrifice schemes.
* A full programme of CPD and professional growth support tailored to your role.
* Opportunities to broaden your skills and develop your career as part of a large and diverse Multi Academy Trust.
The Mercian Trust is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and young adults. We expect all staff to share this commitment. As this post involves working in regulated activity unsupervised with children all post-holders are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks including an online search check, Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Closing Date for Applications – 12 noon on Tuesday 11 February 2025
Please note we will not accept CVs for this post.
