Client Details Currently working with a leading FMCG Distributor who seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality operations across warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management while maintaining compliance with UK regulations and company standards. The business is looking for someone to both drive better systems and processes, whilst motivating and developing the team to incorporate best-in-class supply chain processes. Description The role of Supply Chain Operations Manager in Leeds will be responsible for: Manage and optimize end-to-end distribution operations, including supply chain. warehousing, inventory management, and logistics. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Lead, mentor, and develop a team across the supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and support staff. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels. Negotiate with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels. Ensure operations comply with all UK health and safety regulations, including HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards for FMCG.Profile Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. Proven experience in operations management within FMCG, distribution, or logistics. Familiarity with UK regulatory requirements in FMCG distribution. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS). Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret data.
