Your Role as Curriculum Lead of Art: Lead the Art Curriculum – Develop, implement, and oversee an engaging and innovative art curriculum that meets the needs of SEN students. Inspire Creativity – Foster a love for art by delivering exciting lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity and develop new skills. Team Leadership – Lead a team of art teachers and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development to ensure high standards of teaching. Personalized Learning – Adapt the art curriculum to suit the individual needs and abilities of students with a range of SEN, ensuring that each child’s unique potential is unlocked. Monitor Progress – Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff to support continuous development. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching art, preferably in an SEN setting. ✅ Leadership Experience – Previous experience leading a department or curriculum is highly desirable. ✅ Passionate About Art – A deep passion for the arts and the ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity. ✅ Creative & Adaptable – A flexible, creative teaching style that is able to adapt to the needs of SEN students and encourage hands-on learning. ✅ Empathetic & Patient – A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to working with students with special educational needs. ✅ Strong Communication Skills – The ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents to ensure successful outcomes for all students. ✅ An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
