An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen within the Resources Service within the wider Corporate Parenting Service. We are recruiting for a recruitment and publicity officer, within the Fostering Recruitment and Special Guardianship Team. The role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in recruitment and marketing, whilst working closely with Social Workers and foster carers.
Within this role, you will be the lead officer in the fostering recruitment for the recruitment of foster carers in Merton. You will maintain and build relationships with community groups and professionals to promote fostering in Merton. You will devise and implement recruitment marketing strategies for individual children in order to find alternative families for them. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and liaise with members of the public, and approved foster carers as part of our recruitment campaign. You will work closely with Social Workers and support the team in carrying out initial enquiry discussions, information sessions and support in coordinating training for foster carers.
We are looking for someone with substantial experience marketing, promotion and recruitment, and someone with excellent communication skills.
