Hunter Valley Private Hospital is looking to employ a Food Services Assistant to join their busy department on a casual basis. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.
Responsibilities
As a Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:
1. Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
2. Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
3. Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle, close to beaches and the Hunter Valley and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. The hospital is an 83 bed facility which offers a variety of surgical, medical and rehabilitation services.

Selection Criteria
1. Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
2. Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
3. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
4. Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
5. Excellent time management skills
6. Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work
